About

Formerly Mind in Chester and Chester Community Mental Health Support, our mental health charity has existed in a number of forms in Chester since 1964.

For the last six years we have been led and run entirely by people with their own experiences of mental health problems . We offer a warm welcoming safe place in our drop-in where anyone can come along, have a cup of tea or coffee and a chat and spend sometime with people who may have or be experiencing similar issues.

We have a number of activities and loads more planned, we’re not here to tell you what to do, come along and do what you want.

We’re currently open every Monday from 10am till 3pm, Monday start with our Breakfast Club, then we run a drop-in through till 3pm. Feel free to come along when you want for as long as you want.

We offer Peer Support to those aged 18+ who are experiencing any level of mental health problem or distress, anyone who feels lonely or isolated and those who want to give their Well-Being a boost.

We have no staff and we are run on an entirely voluntary basis.

Each Monday depending on our availability and resources we decide on a weekly basis what else to put on for our members during the rest of the day and the week.

Current activities may include guitar groups, board games, computing classes, cookery group, art, film group, gardening group, well-being Wednesdays and much more

You’re welcome to come along anytime on a Monday.

There is no charge for anything and no referral needed.

If you’re interested in becoming a member it’s free, just pop just along on a Monday, drop us a line or give us a ring.

We now work in partnership with the Rethink Mental Illness Peer Support Groups in West Cheshire

We are at Number 1, the Mount, Boughton, Chester, CH3 5UD
